After an Art Foundation course in Leamington Spa, I read English and Drama at Exeter University (graduated 1988 BA Hons). I then successfully completed the Motley Postgraduate Theatre Design Course at the Almeida Islington, London and subsequently, after 5 years of theatre design work, did a PGCE at the Institute of Education. I taught English and drama at the Grey Coat Hospital School in Westminster, London, for 6 years.
In 2006 I came to Bristol and, in addition to some free-lance interior design work, have been working as a professional textile artist since 2008.
